Interleaving Beats Blocking for Skill Acquisition

Interleaved practice (mixing problem types randomly) produces worse performance during practice but significantly better performance on delayed tests compared to blocked practice (completing all type-A problems then all type-B). The difficulty of switching context forces deeper processing.
